OurServices
Since 2009 we have started a car company in France. And so we have gained a lot of experience in importing vehicles into France. Where in the past you had to go to a Prefecture yourself with all the documents and you could get it arranged at the counter, nowadays everything has to be done via the internet and that is not that easy for everyone.
If you are unable to apply for the French license plate yourself for whatever reasons, or you simply don't feel like trying to figure everything out yourself, I can help you with this. I offer my services here to get your European vehicle on a French license plate.
I ensure that the vehicle is forwarded to ANTS (the French RDW), and request the required quitus fiscal from the French tax office.
A declaration of conformity (COC) is often also requested. I will then send you the link where it can be ordered, or I will order it at an additional cost.
For vehicles that are 30 years or older, I can provide a vintage car certificate. It is important that photos can be taken of the stamped serial number.
ANTS also often requests a part 2 export document for Dutch vehicles. This means that the yellow license plates must be handed in at an RDW office in the Netherlands. Normally you have to go to the Netherlands in person for this, but I can also arrange this for you remotely.
In that case, the yellow plates can be sent to me and I will ensure that they reach my RDW contact in the Netherlands.
I can also put you in touch with insurance offices in France, which can already insure the car on the Dutch license plate.
The average duration for the application is between 4 to 6 weeks.
In addition to my costs, there is always a kind of one-off road tax at the end of the journey that must be paid to the French state.
This amount depends on the vehicle. Age, weight, co2 tax, diesel/petrol/hybrid.
It is important that you have a recent domicile invoice (French invoice/subscription for water, electricity or telephone/internet, official rental contract). If that is the case, we can start the application.
